Harriet Burge is a divorce and family law specialist, in practice since 1994 with two of the most respected family law firms in London, Withers LLP and then Harcus Sinclair. In 2005, she established her own practice.

We provide a full range of family legal services including divorce and separation, cohabitation, financial settlements, issues relating to children and enforcement and variation of existing settlements. We also provide a full mediation service.

Known for her sensible, straightforward approach, Harriet’s aim is to help guide you through the maze of decisions and consequences which follow from divorce or relationship breakdown at a pace and in a style which suits you. We offer a full range of alternative dispute resolution experience and capabilities to help you find the right process for you and avoid the court if you would prefer.

Harriet Burge is a trained mediator, collaborative lawyer and highly experienced negotiator as well as retaining a wealth of traditional court based experience should formal action be necessary. This needs a personal touch and Harriet will remain your point of contact throughout so that she (rather than a more junior member of staff) has the detail of your case in mind.

Although based in Suffolk, we bring all the knowledge, contacts and expertise of a central London practice where the majority of our clients are based. We have London office and meeting facilities by prior appointment at 35 New Broad Street (a couple of minutes from Liverpool Street Station) or can meet at our offices in Suffolk or at a location to suit you.
